Why standard equipment cannot be used in hazardous areas

In hazardous areas, flammable gases, vapours or dust can accumulate in the air, which turns ordinary electrical equipment into an ignition source. At chemical, pharmaceutical and energy facilities that risk is controlled by using explosion-proof equipment and specific installation methods. Energotechus designs and installs these systems to the requirements set for hazardous areas.

We begin with a risk assessment: we establish the boundaries and classification of the hazardous area. Only with the area classification known precisely can the right certified equipment be selected. We use only equipment intended for that specific area and install it in strict accordance with the requirements.

Alongside the installation we fit gas detection and emergency alarms so risk is identified early. That combination allows a hazard to be brought under control before it becomes real.

Compliance and documentation

On completion we hand the facility over with compliance and test documentation. These documents confirm the system meets safety requirements and are needed for commissioning and inspections. The client receives not only a safe system but proof that it has been installed correctly.

We coordinate explosion-proof systems with the electrical installation and low current solutions, so the facility operates on one coordinated and safe infrastructure. Where required we continue to maintain the system so it remains safe throughout its service life.
